MP Garnett Genuis supports The Long Walk Canada

Garnett Genuis, Member of Parliament in Ottawa, has expressed his support for the second edition of The Long Walk that takes place in Canada this year. The Canadian politician sends his encouragement through a video message. “I would like to express my support for the Sindhi community and for their efforts to address human rights violations through this march.”

Garnett Genuis represents Sherwood Park-Fort Saskatchewan, an electoral district in the Western province of Alberta. He was elected for the Conservative party and has been serving as a Member of Parliament since 2015. Being an advocate for human rights and religious freedom, Genuis says he hopes his viewers follow him in supporting The Long Walk.

“I would like to express my support for the Sindhi community and for their efforts to address human rights violations through this march. I hope you join me in supporting the Sindhi community in their important walk.”

The Long Walk Canada will start in Toronto on May 28th and finish in Ottawa on June 15th, covering a distance of 424 kilometers. The goal of the walk is to raise awareness for human rights abuses, climate justice and environmental justice.
